Star symbol in Word

1. Type 2605 where you want the star.
2. Press Alt+X. The code turns into ★.
3. For the outline star, type 2606 and press Alt+X to get ☆.

Star Symbol in Keyboard and on Phone

A star icon symbol like ★ is plain text. It follows your text colour, stays sharp when printed and works in Excel, forms and old phones. A star emoji like ⭐ is a small picture with a fixed yellow colour; it looks brighter in chats but may not be allowed in some fields.
